Netflix users should be able to stream content on PS3 without a disc beginning Monday

While it may sound lazy to some, it can be annoying to swap out a game disc for the Netflix streaming disc anytime you want to watch one of the service's movies or television shows online. According to the PlayStation blog, this changes on Monday, when Netflix streaming customers should be able to watch Netflix content without a disc -- and in 1080p with Dolby 5.1 channel surround sound.

This comes with a new interface as well as promises of "faster browsing experience, content search directly on the device, and dramatic improvements in how fast playback starts." Netflix also says that more of its library will be available.
