The iOS RPG from Square Enix was apparently successful enough to get not one but two new installments.
Square Enix's iOS RPG Chaos Rings gained a good bit of steam since its release last year, and rightfully so; it's one of the better original RPGs on the platform. This week in Japan, Square Enix revealed a new entry in the franchise, and teased another.
Chaos Rings Omega is a prequel that takes place 10,000 years before the original game, but in terms of gameplay, it doesn't appear to be starkly different from the original -- it's still a traditional story-driven RPG with two-party-member battles, but won't have multiple couples and stories, instead focusing solely on the story of legendary warrior Viegue and his wife.
Chaos Rings II was also announced by Square Enix, but besides one piece of art at the end of the trailer above, no more details are known. Chaos Rings Omega, however, will be available on the App Store in May.
