Video game movies all over SF IndieFest 2011

Three films stand out in the IndieFest 2011 lineup for being set in, based around, or entirely created with video games. Check out the trailers:

RU There is the most film-y of the films, following the story of a relationship between a competitive gamer and a hooker that plays out both in real life as platonic and in Second Life as romantic.

The Trashmaster is a 90-minute movie made entirely with Grand Theft Auto IV in one of the longest bits of machinima we've ever heard of. The plot follows a garbage collector-turned-vigilante tracking a serial killer.

The last video game-related entry is a documentary double feature -- Second Bodies and Gold Farmers. The short documentaries both cover exactly what they sound like, and regrettably only Gold Farmers has a trailer to share.

You can catch these films and more in San Francisco next month when IndieFest 2011 kicks off. Tickets and information here.
