Team 17's frenetic top-down action game sequel to Alien Breed: Impact releases on PlayStation Network this week.
Available for $9.99, Alien Breed 2: Assault is a science fiction-themed shooter where players try to survive by scrounging for gear, finding ways to upgrade weapons, and conserving ammo as waves of aliens attack. New to the series is Survivor mode, an arena-based challenge for single-player or two-player co-op (online or local) play where the goal is to keep moving and avoid being overwhelmed by swarms of alien attackers.
Other features include new enemies such as the Webber, new boss battles, 31 Trophies, new environments, and new weapons such as the Hyper Blaster chaingun and the Rocket Launcher.
Alien Breed 2: Assault is available on PlayStation Network now. The game is also available on Xbox Live Arcade, and through Steam. More details and a gameplay video are available on the PlayStation Blog.
